I have a 2008 Saturn outlook with 2w drive. I recently drove in wet weather a my Stabil Trak and traction control indicators

When the Stabilitrak and Traction Control indicators come on and stay illuminated in your 2008 Saturn Outlook, it typically indicates a problem with the vehicle's stability control system. This system helps maintain control and stability during adverse driving conditions, such as wet or slippery roads. There are several potential causes for these warning lights, and it's essential to address the issue promptly to ensure your vehicle's safety and performance. Here are some common reasons for the warning lights to stay on:
  1. Wheel Speed Sensor Issues: The Stabilitrak and Traction Control systems rely on information from wheel speed sensors to determine if a wheel is slipping or losing traction. If one of these sensors is malfunctioning or dirty, it can trigger the warning lights.
  2. Faulty ABS Module: The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) module is closely related to the stability control system. If there is a problem with the ABS module, it can affect the functionality of Stabilitrak and Traction Control.
  3. Damaged Wiring: Damage to the wiring that connects the wheel speed sensors to the control module can disrupt the communication and trigger the warning lights.
  4. Malfunctioning Control Module: The control module responsible for the stability control system can develop faults or errors over time.
  5. Brake System Issues: Problems with the vehicle's braking system, including worn brake pads, can sometimes lead to issues with the Stabilitrak system.
  6. Faulty Steering Angle Sensor: The steering angle sensor is part of the stability control system. A malfunction in this sensor can lead to warning lights.
  7. Low Fluid Levels: Low brake fluid levels can trigger the warning lights, as the stability control system may interpret it as a potential issue with the braking system.
To diagnose and address the problem, you should take your Saturn Outlook to a qualified mechanic or a dealership. They can perform a diagnostic scan using specialized equipment to pinpoint the exact issue that is causing the warning lights to stay on. Once the problem is identified, they can recommend the necessary repairs or replacements.
It's important not to ignore these warning lights, as the stability control system is designed to enhance vehicle safety and performance, particularly in adverse driving conditions. Addressing the issue promptly will help ensure the continued safe operation of your vehicle.

I have 2010 g class problem is the warning sign on dashboard just a red car shown in dashboard

The red car warning light on the dashboard of your 2010 G-Class vehicle indicates a problem with the vehicle's stability control system. The stability control system is an important safety feature that helps to keep the vehicle stable and under control during driving, particularly in slippery or uneven road conditions. When the red car warning light is illuminated, it indicates that there is a fault with the stability control system and it may not be functioning properly. It is recommended to have the vehicle assessed by a qualified mechanic as soon as possible in order to diagnose and fix the problem. Continuing to drive the vehicle with a faulty stability control system can increase the risk of accidents or other issues.

What does it mean when the service stability system warning light comes on? What is the stability system? Why does the car shake and vibrate when I press on the brakes?

You need to have your vehicle diagnosed and
repaired, any time, any Malfunction Indicator
Light comes on your dash

You have a possible issue with your ABS Braking System
Do not use it until repaired

What is the stability system of the car intended to do and why is it a problem if the warning light about the stability system is on?

The stability system of the vehicle is used to stabilize the vehicle in Turns. And say if you were driving and had to veer off the side becuase a car was stopped or somthing, as oppose to you loosing control it helps you maintain control of the vehicle.

The warning light is a problem with the stability system, could be a number of things. Thats somthing you dont wanna mess with on your own.

The service stability light is on

It pertains to just what it says STABILITY. Your vehicle has a system that will sense if you are coming around a curve at about 90 MPH. It will automatically apply a light amount of braking to the proper wheels, thus hopefully eliminating you and your Uplander from flying off curve. With the light on as with any warning light , you must assume whether its real or not, that the STABILITY system IS NOT operating. Significant computer / sensor diagnosis will be necessary. Hope this helps

Service Stability System keeps coming up on my display. It seems to do it right after starting my car and backing up or when coming to a stop sign. The other day I backed out of an area kind of quickly due...

I had the same problem...but I found out that the dealer had rotated incorrectly the tires.
Front and back are different sizes and if a rotation is performent front to rear, you may get a stability light warning.

I corrected my tires and the warning went a way.

Service stability system

one of the four load stability sensors (one at each wheel suspention arm) has gone awry. Computer diagnostics (Advanced scan tool) will tell you which one. Suggest replace both on front or both on rear (whichever the case)
