Question about 1997 Buick LeSabre

1 Answer

Missing or chugging

The car is missing or chugging at lower speeds and between 70 and 85 km as it seems to be changing levels in gears. Third gear to drive, it does not do this all the time. It is a consistant chugging as it does at the same rate whenever it happens. If you let off the accellerator or give it more gas it will go away. This also does not do this all the time.

If it's throwing a code, have it scanned. Sounds like the Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF) or the Throttle positioning sensor, (TPS) Could aslo be a dirty O2 sensor. Scanning will tell.

Ok there are several options such as water in the fuel or dirty fuel for starters. Another option would be clogged fuel injectors or a dirty map sensor. Check the spark plug wires to be sure that they are on tight and none are worn at contact points such as rubbing against a sharp edge. Let us know what the code(s) say.

Dear vdizon it seems your bearings are slipping inside your transmission.
This is usually caused by inproper use or stress to the transmission. Changing gears at high revs and double clutching may have caused the bearings to wear, or a service on the gearbox has not been performed by factory recomendation. I advise you to book your car into your mechanic to confirm the problem before the proble escalades.
I hope this has helped you.
