Question about Ford F-150
Sounds like the actuator rods have popped loose from the handle or the latch mechanism. (Probably the handle).
If you can get the door panel loose (and pulled away from the door) you should be able to reach in and release the latches so you can open it, to work on it.
Door panels are normally held on with little plastic "christmas trees". They do make a tool for taking panels off, but you can do it with a stiff putty knife.

I have a 97 super cab ,the 3rd door uses a cable to release the top latch i need one to come to find out its a common problem the plastic brakes on the ends and put it out of adjustment so if you find one let me know @ Joeyevoli@yahoo.com
