1 Answer

Water ingestion i have a 54 plate jaguar x-type diesel, after driving thru a flood and an idiot in a range rove sent a wave over my bonnet the engine sucked a few litres of water in before stopping, we removed the injectors a turned the car over to remove the water a few times and the car nearly started but now there is no fuel getting to the injectors, we have checked all the fuses and have no idea what to do to get the fuel pumping again

I have recently serviced my xtype estate diesel i had a lot of trouble priming the high pressure pump, took ages nearly flattened battery,my solution was to disconnect the fuel from filter to inlet side of pump and pour fuel into pipe, it was a bit messy but eventually did the trick.
