I worked on a 95 Ggran Am 2.3D motor for a while ( 4 Cylinder) after several months of thikin I had it it turnes out to be a headgasket put a cooling system pressure tester on it and left it there pumped up to 25PSI and kept pumping it back up if it dropped. Pulled all the plugs and eventually saw a trickle of antifreeze in one of the cylinders It took a while it passed block tests, changed the thermostt, waterpump, even the coolant expansion bottle these were all changed by the customer I don't recommend changing all these parts but do do the pressure test for as song as it takes.

The cooling fans do work right?

'97 Grand Marquis needs a new Oxygen Sensor

this is going to be on the left side of the exhaust second sensor back or if you only have two sensors it will be just after the cat. all you need is a 7/8 wrench. to change it unless you have the o2 sensor socket.

Different transmission for 97 grand cherokee

There were some chrysler transmissions around that year that were year specific, a good wrecking yard can help you, they can look up and see which other years will fit based on your engine size and drivetrain

97 Jeep Grand Cherokee only blows heat and ac out of dashboard

There is a vacuum leak under the hood. If it's a 6 cylinder, look on the drivers side for a vacuum line that runs vertical with a 90 degree angle fitting to the manifold. That one usually comes off. If it is a V8 look on the battery side for a broken or corroded vacuum line.
