I believe you will need a 3/8 spark plug socket. removed spark plug wires. remove spark plugs and install new plugs. Tightening torque is 27 Nm then reinstall spark plug wires with corresponding cylinder left to right goes 1-4.

When you buy the new spark plugs, take one of the plugs and get a spark plug socket to fit. The size may depend on the brand? Try 5/8 spark plug socket. Hopefully the socket for the new plugs will fit the old plugs?

After playing around for years with different plugs from coper to platinum I have found that the AC plug that came with it is the best replacement. GM plugs are now rated for 100,000 mi or 160,000 KM.

you might have to take the ratchet off and use only the spark plug socket and a wrench that fits the top of that spark plug socket.. they are hard to get to but this will get them out .. the ratchet is hard to move around in there.. some have to be gotten from under the car where you can see better... thanks jerry

Changing spark plugs 2003 Impala 3.4 eng. i.e. removing and reinstalling upper intake manifold

I have a 2003 chevy Impala and it's not so difficult. Try using a small ratchet that fits in the palm of your hand, I can't remember what it is called. To install the plugs use an extension and put a couple of the card board pieces from one of the spark plug boxes in between the new spark plug and the spark plug puller socket, this will hold the new plug in place while you work with the extension. When screwing in the plug you will have to go by feel so move the extension back and forth like a light jiggle while turning to avoid cross threading the plug. After the plug is tightened attach the ratchet and slightly torque into place.
