98 s70 windows and sunroof

My windows were working fine . did notice that driver side went up slower than usual and when i went to reopen the window, it would not work and neither are the other windows. the sunroof is not working either.
changed all fuses and want to know if or where the breaker switch is .
2- does the system relay switch control the windows and roof?
thanks in advance for your response.

I have the same issue. A couple of weeks ago, the windows seemed sluggish when going up and down and then the passenger front window stalled and wouldn't close. Finally, a few minutes later it closed. All worked fine for a while and then two days ago, I tried to roll down the driver's window and it wouldn't go down - neither would the others. The switches feel a little stiff and sticky - could there be a contact problem?

Thanks. My husband found a new switch panel at a junkyard from the same model car and replaced the whole set of switches on the driver's side door. They were worn out. He tried to use a cleaner first and that didn't work. Now the windows are working fine - no problems.

Tried it today and none of the windows work from master switch on drivers side except ft passenger window, which went down but will not go back up.

You can't put up the front passenger window with it's own switch ? Did you check the POWER WINDOW RELAY in the instrument panel fuse / relay box ? An you checked POWER fuse 30amp same fuse box ? All window switches have direct power from power window relay !

How to turn off traction control in 99 s70 volvo that has automatic traction

On my 1998 S70 there is a rocker switch next to the sunroof and back window and mirror heat below the tachometer on the right hand side of the dashboard. If you have no other way, remove the fuse from traction control on the the main fuse box under the hood on the drivers side. There should be a guide to which fuse is which on the lid of the fuse box.

My sunroof won't close

Some sunroofs have a open switch like the drivers window. You push it and the window will open automaticly. The button on your sunroof could be jammed so even though you can close it as soon as you release it, it will auto open on it's own.

The driver side window button does not roll the window up or down, but the other windows work fine. Could the problem be in the button or the motor?

Its the window switch. I stopped getting "clicking" action on my driver side/driver window button, so I switched it with one from a back window (meaning I couldnt roll down the back one from the driver side control anymore. This was temporary. I went to the junk yard and of 12 98/99 devilles, all of them had the switch pulled already. It is a pretty common problem I guess. New aftermarket cost around $80. All you need is a screwdriver to get at it, plug in the new one and you are fine.
