Question about 1994 Volkswagen Jetta
Isn't it electric?
If so, here's a temp solution.Remove the plastic cover that surrounds the dome lights by pulling it towards the rear of the car. There's a key there in that compartment. Use it to open and close the sunroof, but it may be a little stiff, but it works.
Maybe the electric motor is burnt or the fuse is blown. Verify the fuse first if it is indeed electric.
