Air conditiner vacum

i can not understand your question. do you want to know how to change the place where air comes out or it does not come out at the place where you want it to come out?

first of all, the flapper are vacuum controlled. you need a vacuum source which comes from the engine. it could be trace by a black plastic hose coming from a vacuum canister that goes inside the car thru the wall near the air conditioning evaporator. this hose went to a valve that directs the vacuum to each vacuum valve that is attached to the flappers. as you turn or slide the switch, it opens a vacuum line to each valve to change its position. either close or open. if everything is not changing wherever you place the switch, it could be a bad source of vacuum. a broken line from the engine to the switch. if it does work on some position and would not on other position, then it could be the switch itself. sometimes there is just a leak on the valve or the hoses are just not tightly pressed on the switch.

i hope i was able to help...

My checkengine keeps coming on the code is p507

If the engine is running rough at idle (although idle speed is normal), then you might have a vacuum leak. This results in a lean air/fuel mix condition and the ECU might over-compensate by trying to "richen" the air/fuel ratio.

Vacuum leaks are unpredictable and not always easy to locate; sometimes you pop the hood open and it's right there staring at you --- a cracked or disconnected vacuum line! Reconnect and it's good to go. The check engine light will turn off after you complete a drive cycle.

If the idle speed is too low or jumping up and down, your IAC (Idle Air Control) motor may be malfunctioning and in need of replacement.

Hope this helps.

2002 altima idling too high check engine light on

The first and easiest thing you should do or have someone do, is check under the hood for a vacuum leak, possibly coming from a cracked or broken hose. Check and inspect all rubber hoses, including the large ribbed hose running to the throttle body (Engine air intake from the air filter box). You can hear a leak if it is loud enough and will sound like a hiss. Your engine is idling high because of a vacuum leak.

Code P0442 on a 2000 grand prix

That means that there is a fuel evaporation leak detected in your fuel tank. Generally this means that your fuel cap is loose- go tighten it and see if the code goes away after driving your vehicle for awhile. The problem can also be holes in the evaporation hoses...but not likely.

Front end does not engage in 4-wheel drive

The front diff in this model requires air pressure to engage. There is an electric pump for this purpose and once the pressure rises and remains where it's meant to, the pump shuts off and the dash light indicating 4WD will remain lit. It is sealed. There should be no leaks. If there is air coming out the top, do you mean out of the diff breather pipe? (The diff breather should be connected to a hose that goes up and is clipped next to the radiator.) If it is coming out of the diff breather, you have a punctured (worn out) diff engaging diaphragm which can only be replaced by stripping the diff casing.

Cranks but will not stay running

Does the Check Engine light come ON when this happens? Whenever the "Check Engine" light comes on, there is always a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) stored in the ECM (Engine Control Module). You'll need an OBDII (On-Board-Diagnostics) scanner to retrieve any codes recorded/set in ECM. Once you do this and let us know what, if any codes are set, then we can go from there.
There are just too many possible causes for the problem you describe. Example: Sensors like the Mass Air Flow (MAF), Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor, Crank Position Sensor (CKP), Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor, Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor, vacuum leaks, intake air hose leak, Wiring & connectors, clogged intake air filter, bad/contaminated fuel, malfunctioning injectors, poor ignition/spark or spark plugs or wires, Major Engine Mechanical problems, Out of Time, etc. etc. etc.

Rough Idle, Outside air vent stuck open & Airbag light stays on

I'm pretty sure you would have service engine light on if you had vacuum leak! any how these cars are usually pretty good solid air hoses etc!if you have eng light OBD 2 scan for fault codes don't play the ge$$ing game!don't worry if you have idle problem that engine light will soon appear then scan if you do have air leak you will hear a whistle sound listen closely but keep in mind 10 switches can cause rough idle!air vent stuck open locate the intake park some times rodents make nests!!!seen it before or perhaps cable jumped off?linkage good places to start hope this helped
