Yes it can be fixed but only after you open up every thing and see what is damaged and in some cases it costs more then throwing a used engine in it and think about the time you will save replacing the whole engine.

2001 toyota corolla jumped time. how expensive is it going to be to fix

I'm sure you replaced the belt at 60,000 or 6 years what ever comes first. So this is just a freak occurrence. When the belt slips the pistons come up hit the valves smashing them into the head if your lucky otherwise the valves go through the piston. If you are lucky you can replace the head with a rebuilt one but a hole in the position you will need different engine

I have a 2001 ford focus has no compression in any of the cycl we checked the timing belt and all no damage everything looks good but no compression in engine. Was driving down road the other day it...

Hello, I have read about the Keyways in the crank and camshafts shearing off. If you disconnect the Battery and take out a sparkplug, you can turn the engine with a breaker bar. Then put a probe into the sparkplug hole and you should be able to feel the piston coming up in the cylinder. If the piston does not move you can start disassembling the front cover to check the Keyway on the crank.

If the pistons are moving. remove a Valve cover and turn the crank while watching the Valves or cam on the topside of the engine. This will give you an indication if the Cam is not turning. It is not impossible for a Cam to snap so watch to see if all parts the entire length of the cam are turning.

Another potential problem much easier to fix is the Starter bendix. If you only hear the Starter cranking without a load, was the engine turning? The Starter gear could fail and the starter will just spin while the engine does nothing.

Would be interested in the outcome of this problem.

2006 ford focus rear brakes

If the piston is stuck out this is due to a seized calliper however a temp Fix is to turn the piston clockwise to force it back in as rear callipers are self releasing so they need to be turned clockwise they will not go stright back without turning. This is due by broken calliper seals although you will temp fix it, It's best to either replace calliper or buy a calliper fixing kit which includes all the seals that need replacing.
Also You will need to Empty the brake fluid out to make it easier to push the piston in it, Then you will need to bleed the whole brake system once fitted back.

How do you change aa timing belt on a 2003 Ford Focus. I have replacement prices from $99 to $526.

ford focus zetec engine 1.6 ,then its quite easy to do but one word of caution ??BIG TIME and the the bottom pulley is not on a keyway just a slight taper so do not undo the bottom pulley bolt by jamming a big bar with socket on and turning the starter motor ,as the bolt loosens the timing belt pulley moves and the valves hit the pistons .jam the flywheel up with a small jemmy bar in the flywheel teeth by removing the starter motor, trust me on this i smashed two pistons and 6 valves undoing the pulley bolt with the starter motor

My Ford focus is acting strange. It starts ok,idle ok, but sometimes when you press on the gas it choks.Any idea what can cose this?

Ford focus can have a timing belt about to break, have it checked, and replace it ,if it breaks,it will not start, and it will cost you.The valves in the engine will be bent if the timing belt breaks.

2001 ford focus jerks when gas applied while driving

Safely, take your car on a highway or street ( dry pavement ) with no cars or other persons around. Stop the car, proceed to approx. 20 Km/h. Then push the gas pedal down close to the floor, if the car bucks and chucks change the fuel filter and retest. If the problem is still present, I recommend the fuel pump. Have it checked first.
