Wont start sometimes/most times

Truck has high millage 234k Ttypical minor problems in the past Owned it since new starts and runs great then nothing /just keeps cranking till the battery dies .the next day or so starts rite up and runs great now its dead again shot alittle starting fluid nothing .checked for spark it has it I give

This could be a multitude of different problems. I'd suggest some simple T&E and find what's going on. Start with the simplest solutions first. Tune up, plugs, wires, air filter, oil change, and the like. Then see how it acts after that.

Going with that, if you still are having problems it's time to go into more detail with your search. Start checking things such as your spark, fuel pump, fuel filter(s), catylitic converter, and even check your fuses for blown fuses.

In the case none of this works, it's more then likely that you'll have to end up finding a decent mechanic. They can start testing other parts such as the cylinder compression, valve adjustments, and even internal wear if need be.

One big question however, if there is an engine light on, get it checked with an OBD reader at autozone, advanced, or the like of auto stores. I hope this helps you out bud.

98 chevy truck 350 engine 93K miles when starting sometimes the engine will backfire..could be cold or hot engine..but after it runs for a couple of minutes will run fine..

A backfire usually indicates a timing issue. I recommend a minor tune up, which will include new plugs and wires, as well as checking/setting the distributor timing. An oil change is also recommended after the issue is corrected, as offset timing can cause fuel to remain in cylinder, which then bleeds past the piston rings and ends up in the crankcase with the engine oil.

1996 nissan maxima starts and runs great, a couple days later it wont' start, finally it will start, jumping battery does not help, but car runs great if and when it starts

I suggest that you take the starter motor to an accredited auto electrician as it indicates a dry joint problem in the armature bars
the fix is
the bars can be re-soldered
or My preference -- a new armature

Truck cranks but wont start

Sounds like its the battery and you was running the car with alternator during your 12 hr run. Thus once stopped. The battery being done for doesn't have enough juice left. try a trickle charge overnight and try again. If no joy check the voltage output of the battery. And if low a new one is needed. Even when the new one has been fitted check the voltage again once running to make sure the alternator is still charging right. Hope this helps

I have a 1999 xl f150 i bought a dashboard with less mile to replace the original in the truck, i replace it but the truck wont star i put the original back and it started. is the a way to fix this or wat.

No can do.
Requires a trip to the dealer to have the new cluster programmed for your truck, which would bypass the odometer fraud you appear to be trying to commit.
The PATS keys programmed for your truck are stored in the NV RAM, the same module contains the millage and PCM ID for your truck.
Even if you had the ignition switch and keys from the other truck you got the lower millage cluster out of, the truck would still not start due to a mismatched PCM ID in the replacement cluster.

did you check all the fusable links sometimes they dont break all the way maybee check all the grounds on the truck there is one on the back of the head and should be a comp. ground and of course the engine ground from bat. sometimes you have to losen them and retighten to establish a new clean ground

01 Silverado Intermittent no start

If new starter and solinoid doesn't do the trick you might check and see if there is an adjustment on the electrial part of the ignition switch down on the colum. I had one causing a problem one time. It was like you just couldn't get the key to turn quite far enough. but a very minor adjustment on the switch worked. It was like there was an expansion or contraction in the switch because when it was warm weather it was fine but cooler didn't want to work as well. This problem was on a 86 Elcamino so things may be different on the 01 Silverado.
I have an 02 Silverado with 50,000 and no problems yet. Hopefully your new starter and solinoid will do the trick because its kind of a pain messing with ignition switch to try that.

The Majority of these Parts are Preventive Maintenance Parts and Pending Question #2 TOP Yes I Do Believe with this LIST You Could say G O O D B Y E to the Hard Start Problem If some parts Had Low Millage they Would not require Replacement.

Now with all These Items In Place and Up to Peak Condition there should be NO HARD START PROBLEM At all If SO The Repair should Be Very Inexpensive and A Fast Repair
