I have a 2012 ram 1500 with the exact same noise, and i am also a chrysler tech and there is nothing in chryslers data base for that concern and i have been trying to find it on my for a couple days now
Hard to tell without seeing the car, but poor quality or low octane gasoline can cause an engine knock under hard acceleration or heavy load. This is called preignition and can cause major engine damage. Preignition can also be caused by incorrect ignition timing.
The main problem with accents is the front exhaust pipe from the manifold, it has a 90 degree flexible pie that looks like steel wool......if you look down from the top of the motor down, you can just see the exhaust shield covering the manifold, and if you trace it down, you can see the very sharp bend. As it ages, the steel woven mesh becomes loose and creates this rattle buzz noise that is very annoying, and becomes worse on acceleration. Unfortunatley it needs to be replaced. No easy fix, unfortunatley.
I hope this is helpful, let me know if any more questions.
try U joints or check all you heat shielding on your exhaust it might be harmonic. My 96 300zx rattles alot when i give it some gas and it sounds like tranny but the trans seems to be smooth for the most part and the clutch is relatively new. also check your trans mount. i've seen bolts get loose and it wont knock but it will rattle.
check your fuel filter either by the rear axle or on the left side of the vehicle approximately under the drivers seat of the frame(under the car). if the "cat" is rattling, its not a bad idea to get replaced anyways.
