remove the defroster vent, it just clips in. Remove the conections for power window. there might be two small screws nere what would be the corners of the mirror assembly,remove them. There is 1 large slotted type screw dead center of the mirror assembly.Remove that screw taking care not to drop it into the door. Done.
Sounds like your window regulator has failed, you cant repair those cables. You would have to purchase another. The motor you can keep and try and re use to save money. But make sure the motor is trying to roll the window.
It could possibly be a broken wire in the rubber casing in the hinge of the door. Check the wires in the rubber casing before you do anything. I have a 2004 Jeep that had similar issues to what yours is doing. Hope this helps.
