The cost of it i dont know but when you get it your termostate is located inside of your water pump. you have to:

  1. take off the belt by looseing the ider pully
  2. take off the water pump houseing
  3. then unscrew the termostate take it out and the gasket
  4. then replace it
  5. install in reverse order

How do you know what type of serpentine belt goes on a 2004 Nissan Pathfinder? And the cost to replace and have it installed.

generally a belt will run about 30 bucks or more.
Just call an auto parts store. They will be able to hook you up if you decide to install this yourself'
A shop will usually charge around $100 out the door.

Popping and grinding with extreme wheel turns

Hi

This sounds very much like a problem with your front wheel bearings.

The Xterra Wheel Bearings need to be re-greased at least every 30k miles, and more often if you often go through water deep enough to reach the hubs. When the water gets in the hubs it contaminates the grease and damage can be done to the bearings. This will create a grinding noise and in severe cases even damage to the axle spindle.

You will need to have this looked at by a mechanic to fully assess the damage. Cost will very much be dependant on the extent of this damage.

This link gives an idea of the cost for bearings on the Xterra but obviously this does not include labor to fit. As I say the overall cost is difficult to predict until the full extent of the damage is known.

Hope this helps. Thanks for using FixYa.

Continuous Blown Fuse

You have a short. With these Xterras it is most likely from one of the front side markers rubbing the bumper support. Is the front bumper pushed in or damaged in anyway if so check the wiring to these lamps. Hope this helps.
