Extremly slow to fill with fuel.

I recently bought a 2004 jeep grand cherokee. When I try to refuel it spits fuel back out. I have to pump so slow that it takes 10 min. to put 5 gallons in. any suggestions on how to repair?

The fuel tank vent tube may very possibly be stopped up, kinked, or internally collapsed, thereby not allowing for displacement of air as the fuel is being introduced. hope this helps

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 wont go over 25 mph. There are no fault codes.

First eliminate the fuel flow, replace the fuel filter. It starts and runs, pump is OK. Then I would go back to the exhaust. Remove an O2 sensor before the catalytic converter. One is fine. It will be louder. If it runs better at picks up speed, then the cats are clogging up.

Had fuel pump replaced. now 2002 jeep grand cherokee leaks gas when filled.

The seal at the fuel pump is not seated correctly, or the filler hose is leaking. take it back.

Need to know how to replace an 04 jeep grand cherokee fuel pump. Need the location and what tools will be needed.

its in the fuel tank. You will need a jack and basic tools. If the tank has gas in it it will be extremly heavy. You need to spray some quick start to see if it will start to make sure its a fuel pump issue first.

1995 Jeep grand cherokee is missing while running. When it is under a heavy load (driving fast) it runs fine. When idleing and slow driving it spits and sputters.

I have the same problem on my 95 grand cherokee laredo. Sometimes it starts out fine and after about 10 miles it starts spitting and sputtering. Then after a while it seems to clean out and run fine again for a little while. Then other times it starts out spitting and sputtering at the begining. I changed the fuel filter and that was not it. It is a 4.0L 6cyc. Any Ideas?

Thanks,
