Question about 1995 Toyota Camry
The thermostat is located driver's side of the vehicle. Follow the upper radiator hose to its end to a water outlet housing. the thermostat is in the outlet. take off the air flter lid and hose and it is easier to get to. take the hose off and the metal line to the housing. the other part of the housing is holding the thermostat. it is held with two 10 mm bolts. good luck.

The thermostat housing is on the passenger side of the engine, under the alternator area. You cannot see it with the alternator installed. Not easy to change, but, if you do, buy a Toyota thermostat. The factory 'stats have an air-purge valve, and it is very important. The aftermarket 'stats do not have this valve. Note that when you replace the 'stat the air purge valve should be at the top of the hole in the housing (pointing straight up).

This is better done when your engine is cold.
Park the car on a level fround.
Open the hood and remove the radiator cap.
Put a sizable container under the radiator and open its drain-plug.
(the drain-plug is by the radiator lower back wall).
Thermostat is in the inlet pipe held by three 10mm bolts that's attached to the engine block. (please note how it sitted)
Installation is reverse of removal. (replace o-ring around thermostat with a new one)
