#1 is top right most bolt first, 2nd is farthest to the left on top, #3 is the one down and to the left of # 2, #4 is on top and to the left of #1, #5 is the hardest one to get to and is right in the middle on the bottom, and #6 is only one left which is top middle....
on re-installation you go backwards and torque from 2--22 NM

Hi El Faraon,
I believe that you're dealing with 12 mm bolts and nuts....THESE ARE NOT THE SPECS FOR YOUR ENGINE, but I believe that if you use them you'll be close....Tighten in three stages up to 22nm....choose the bolts from the centre of the manifold and circle outwards until you reach the last one.....It may be a good idea to draw an overhead or plan view of the unit, marking out the bolt positions.....Start at the centre and mark the sequence and follow that....What is important is starting at the centre, so that nothing becomes warped....

Hope this helps,

Regards, Johngee10

I need lower manifold rocker and upper manifold torque instructions please help

Head Bolts
Torque sequence --------- ' 6 2 3 7 ' ' 5 1 4 8 ' --------- Step 1: torque in sequence to 33 Ft/Lbs Step 2: turn an additional 90 degrees recheck final torque in sequence *** CAUTION ***engine uses Torque To Yield head bolts (TTY) that permanently stretch during the initial installation.New head bolts must be used when cylinder head is replaced or re-installed to obtain proper torque.Always coat bolt threads with the proper sealant.
The Intake Bolt Torque 10 Foot pounds (Final torque)
Note:to torque bolts & nuts, start in center using crisscross pattern working outward

Your knock sensor is located undernesth the air intake manifold on top of the engine block. This goes for 2000-2004 xterra V6 3.3L models.

Knock sensor

You have to take the entire intake manifold off upper and lower. you will find it on the main block after you take the lower manifold off.
