No headlight or tail lights

Hi,
My problem is that our buick regal headlights and tail lights don't work. The switch is ok and the fuse is ok. Brake lights, turn indicators and interior lights all work. What could be the problem? Thanks Ed......

i have a 99 buick rergal, and the other night i was driving when all of a sudden the headlights, dash lights, and tail lights went out. the only lights that stayed on were the gear select light, and clock. the tail lights have gone out before, but i've never had the headlights go out with them. if anyone has had this problem, and knows what i need to fix it, let me know. thanks.

Look for a broken wire by the trunk hinge. Remove the tape from the harness. My tail-lights wouldn't work because the trunk hinge was breaking the wires

Hi Ed,
Try the connectors, probably the one closest to the main light switch....You may find that the multi plug and socket have become effected by oxidisation, or they may have become loose....You can check with a test lamp or a voltage test meter...

Dash and tail lights not workjng brake and turn signal on passanger side not working

The dash and tail lights are on two different circuits, and the brake and turn signals are on different circuits, so at least 4 circuits total.
I would start at the headlight switch and check for power on the first two issues.

1994 dodge dakota my headlights and tail lights and brake lights don't work my abs and parking brake lights are on my dash lights don't work either I replaced the headlight switch and still no

These are all different circuits. The brake lights are on a 10amp fuse - the headlights are on a 50amp fuse - and the parking and dash lights are on a 20amp fuse.
Do you have power going into the headlight switch and the brake light switch ?

1995 Buick Regal where is the Tail light fuse hidden at? What is it labeled as?

That info is not in my wiring diagrams. It should be in your owners manual if you still have it.
The fuses should be in the glove box or the box in the engine compartment labeled cluster lamp or dash lamp and Tail or Park.
Keep in mind you are dealing with two different circuits so two different fuses. If both fuses are good, check for power output at the headlight switch.

Hello sir. I have a 95' Buick Regal. Whenever I turn the headlights on the rear brake light fuse blows out and the tail lights stop working. The headlight switch has already been replace with a new one...

Well, yes, look for damaged and grounded running light and brake light wiring, start at the tail light itself, I usually use a circuit breaker in place of the fuse, for diagnostic purposes and then follow along the wiring with an inductive amp meter. the meter will react until you pass the damaged area, at which time you get nothing. It is likely that the issue is not the headlight switch, as two switches do the same thing..

1994 Buick centry tail light and dash lights not working

By the info that you gave, I would have to say (guess) that it would be your wifes headlight switch. Because it is possible for the headlights to still work when the switch goes. The headlights, taillights, dash lights, dome light, and dimmer all work off the headlight switch and only part of the switch can go and the other part still be good and functioning. Hope this helps or at least, head you in the right direction to solve the issue. Best wishes.
