I have the same or similar problem, at around 60mph the front of the car starts to vibrate. It is not coming through the steering wheel.

It happens under acceleration (even light acceleration) if i ease up on the throttle the vibration goes.

The two outer CV joints were replace some time ago and have been fine since being done.

Happens in 4th and 5th gear, possibly worse in 4th.

    Any ideas?

Hi crusty1,
Have you tried to exceed the 100km/h and if so does the vibration go away.... If so, take the vehicle for wheel balancing.... alignment would be a good idea at the same time.... If the vibration becomes worse and does not go away, have the universal joints inspected.....
If these suggestions fail, let us know more details about the vibration....For example, do you feel it through the steering wheel, or is it through the seat....Does the whole vehicle become effected....Does it seem to be in front, or from the rear? Give us more details....

Regards, Johngee10

I have a 5spd manual have nothing but issue it stalls when idling or when they are low vigorously vibrates between 60km to bout 100km gears wouldn't go in everythime the clutch is in had to slam in

Clutch disc facing material may have come apart, causing clutch to drag when it should freewheel. Disc replacement may be the only cure. This can also cause vibration because disc is now unbalanced.

Is it normal to have a subtle constant vibration from the steering wheel when driving past 100km/h

that vibration means that your tires are out of balance. if they still have good life in them, you should have them balanced.

Hi I have a mazda midge 1600. I changed the cv joints but the car still vibrates and 'floats' at 100km/h +... what can be done to fix that? lower suspension arms? steering?

Mounts. Check transmission and engine mounts. Sounds to me that the mounts are worn/broken, causing excess strain on the cv's, which probably was the cause of the cv's going bad. This would also explain the vibration.

Engine vibrates at 100km/h

If you feel the vibration through the steering wheel at 100km/h at this speed then the wheel/s need balancing.

If equipped with 20'inch wheels, it' s the balance of the tire or differential. Also check the drive shaft and transmission.

I have a terrible vibration at 100km/hr. it geos away at 110. what is the possible problem? abd don't feel it in the steering wheel.

Hi There..
have you checked the rear tyres for signs of delamination ( usual signs are uneven wear from one side of the tyre to the other) this could cause vibration that is not felt through the steering wheel.

I would start with the cheaper problem first, if you live in snow or mud county pull the tires look for mud, ice, then have your tires re-balanced. Not that try wheel aliment
