Question about 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer

Prestige Car Alarms

I purchased a Perstige Car Alarm From Am Indepentant Dearler just 2 weeks after I purchase my 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer. The first week I had problems with the interior dashboard lights. Which i took it back and was fixed. It has been about a year and the alarm does not beep anymore nor does it has flashing lights to indicate that the alarm is in-tact. I do hearthe locks lock. What is up with this device? Was it installed incorrectly? Do I need to get someone else to inspect the wiring of the device? Or is gonig cheapy downfall? Your input to this situation would be greatly appreciated.

i bought a used 2004 mitsubishi lancer ls sportback with the same problem. a google search told me this was a known defect and was covered under a dealer recall--no cost to me. my local dealer did the job. it took at least a half day--the entire dash, they said, had to be removed. the fix isn't perfect, but it is light years above and beyond what it was b4. the new knobs aren't silky smooth, but the old ones needed tools to turn!

Annual maintenance cost of 2002 mitsubishi lancer glxi

I would recommend you purchase a car that will strain your budget less - how good is owning a car that worries you? NONE --
Always - Also - take down the Vin # - call the local dealer and ask about recalls and service bulletins - you will be amazed. Some recalls must be fixed for the life of the vehicle.
