Question about 2001 Jeep Cherokee

Open Question

Jeep Cherokee Casette player has a tape stuck inside.

The stereo in my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee has a cassette tape stuck inside. It is one of those tapes that connects to a disc man or mp3 player. This is the stock model, am/fm radio with cassette. My boyfriend is pretty good with electronics and robotics and can get it out, but he wants to look at a diagram or manual of the stereo for reference. I don't have the owner's manual and I would rather not have to pay for one :)

SOURCE: removal of dash and factory stereo

This is an easy fix. Use a flat head screwdriver andpry out the center stack where the heating and air controls are. this will just pop out. From there there are a few screws to to remove to get the cover off around the stereo.

SOURCE: window motor replace 2001 jeep grand cherokee

You need to remove all the skrews from the door. Normaly there is one in the handle of the door, one behind the in door lach handel and one under the bump out for the arm rest on the door. Than you need to take a flat head skrew driver slowly priying the panel off. There are plastic clips on the backside of the panel it is ok if you brake a few.

My cassette tape was stuck in the player but I go it out but it still thinks there's a tape in it

To do it correctly you'll need to remove radio, take top cover off and inspect closely. If there is tape in there, use a tweezers to remove it.

Hello.

You need to take out the cassette deck from the car. open the cassette deck by removing the various screws, once open, there is a small plastic gear which you need to wind manually which will slowly release the cassette.

Car cassette player

sometimes to play a cassette, you got to put it in the oposite way to the tape run, depending which way your player is set inside. Try this. If it fails the load spring may be bust, new one can be got at a motor factors.
