  • Hi, I can help.
  • Trip meters are just that trip meters. Pressing the reset for them does not effect the odometer. Say you want to see how many miles it is to a place of destination from your home and keep track of gas mileage at the same time. You can use trip A for one and Trip B.

  • If you have any comments you can feel free to leave them here and I will respond.
  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

Regards, Tony

Thanks Tony so much, are all the trip of corolla 2005 produced for Canada are estimated by mile or killo meter? because I estimated that my car spent 14 liter fuel for 95 that I count in TRIP A, I am not sure that 95 should be miles or kilometers?
    thanks

Your very welcome. If you look next to the numbers on your odometer it should indicate weather KM for Kilometers or MPH for Miles Per Hour. You have a button there where you can toggle between the two so you can set it to where you want to. Canada by default uses the metric system so one would think it is on KM but a quick look will tell all. Thanks again for using FixYa. Best Regards,
    Tony

How to Toyota Corolla 2015 reset odometer ?

Hold the button down that changes the display from miles to trip. Set to trip, hold down for as many seconds as it takes to return to zero. You can only do this w the trip indicator. Can't reset actual miles. Look for a button that says reset. It will be marked.

How can i turn off a mantenance light of a 2005 corolla

Hi,
Turn on key,( do not start), Look at instrument cluster and find the digital numbers. Trip A Trip B and the miles you have on car. Press the black button until you can see the odometer. ( miles on car). Turn off key. With key off press the black button. Turn key on. (do not start). You will see some lines starting to erase themselves , when all the lines are gone, you have reset the maintenance schedule.
In about 4500 miles the light will come on again to remind you to change your oil.

2005 toyota corolla ce maint. required need to know how to reset.

To reset the system. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position with the odometer reading shown. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position while holding down the trip meter reset knob. Hold down the knob for at least 5 seconds. The odometer indicates "000000" and the light goes off. If the system fails to reset, the light will continue flashing.

Set Cluster Display to ODOMETER (not Trip A or Trip B)
Ignition Off
Hold Cluster Display button down
Ignition On, Continue to Hold button down
Odometer will change to "----------" then return to Miles Display

2005 Toyota Corolla

This light comes on to rermind you to service the car ( oil, filters ect ) you can turn this off when you start the car by making sure the odometer is showing ( not the trip meters A or B ) and hold in the reset button for the trip meters and turning the ignition switch all the way forward. When this is done the odometer will start to show dashes and when the dashes are gone the light will be reset.
