Question about 1992 Chevrolet K1500
I have 1992 1500 4x4 350cid 5speed. Truck started and then shut down, will not start, will turn over but not start. No fuel to throttle body. No power to fuel pump fuse on fire wall. Only have one wire to fuel pump relay that is hot. Truck has only 87000 mil, and has always run very good. When ign. truned on relay will click and pump makes sound. No power to pump. Should there be power to pump? All fues in fuse box are good. Trying to sell this truck so need to get it runing. Thanks for the help.
Try replacing the ignition control module. It is under the distributor cap. Its just two small screws and a simple plug. I had the same problem, and all the same symptoms. It took forever to figure out what was wrong.

Even though the relay clicked dosn't mean that it's good it could be weak and therefore the gate inside the relay doesn't make a contact to allow the voltage to the pump. i would switch out the relay. quick way to find out for sure is to switch the a/c clutch relay with the fuel pump relay. it should start if it doesn't then you have a loose wire to the pump or a broken wire aor a bad ground. check these out.. please rate this..thanks
