Question about 1987 Ford F 250
What a fool, I ran my 1987 Ford F20 out of gas. After I put enough gas from a can to get her to the gas station, I filled the tank with Chevron Techron Supreme. She started and ran fine, but idled alittle rough. She sat for about an hour and then would not start. I used the "warm start" procedure as per my owner's manual and after ten minutes, she finally started. Ran very rough, but idled fine. The next day, she would not start at all. My dad replaced the fuel filter and after numerous attempts, she started. Again, ran rough, but idled fine. Today, rough start and would hardly run. Sputtering, died at idling and backfired; could not get enough to go past 15 MPH. Pulled over, shut her off and there she sits uptown. Would not start even after waiting an hour. Can you please help?

I would say that you have a bad fuel pump or if you have a carb on it the float inside the carb is stuck check these and i'm sure you will find it's one of these.
