I would say that of all the parts that prevent it from starting the coil would be low on my list, I assume you have no spark?

I own the same car. I would need more info on what happened to be begin with why you think it is the ignition coil.
Your car has an "ignition" ecm (engine control module), on top of that sits your "coil pack" which holds your spark plug wires. If you changed them and crossed your wiring that could be your problem. Let me know I may be able to help you. I just changed both parts on my car a month ago.

1994 AND 93 ?

You will probably want to use the computer off the 94 just to make sure everything works properly. Other than that it should work. May have to do work arounds on throttle linkage or maybe some plugs.

I replaced plugs/wires/and coil pack on 1998 Oldsmobile Eighty-eight. Still throw codes for random misfire. ANy ideas?

Possible "crank position sensor", but also inspect the harmonic balancer coming apart, the back of it has the on/off window plate that the ckp reads for ecm functions.

My 1994 oldsmobile 98 regency won't start

Check fuel pressure, spark. If no spark possible crank sensor or ignition module. If no fuel pressure tap the bottom of the fuel tank with a mallet while someone is cranking the vehicle if it starts then you will need a fuel pump. Also if you have spark and fuel but the engine feels like it bucking while turning over, take a hair dryer and heat the coils may have a bad coil pack. After they get warmed it night then start as the coil resistance changes.

How to replace the ignition module in a 1993 oldsmobile eighty-eight royale

Find coil pack I think it is on the front passenger side. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove electrical connector from module. Remove the four or six bolts that fasten the coil pack/module to the motor. Mark location of coil packs before removing from module. Replace in reverse order.
