If it only works on hi...the resister is bad on regular ac heater systems or on auto temp control systems the powern module is bad.....if it is totally inop then likely a fuse or bad motor

In the I/P fuse panel, check 7.5A FUSE 2
In the engine compartment fuse/relay box, check the 40A BLOWER MOTOR FUSE and blower motor relay
Also check the blower switch, the blower motor resistor, and the blower motor.

8_19_2012_2_27_32_am.gifThats correct with Blower commanded on there should be 12vlts constantly,it is the ground that is varied,so yo need to measure your ground with the blower commanded on,use you meter have one connection attatached to body ground measure the middle wire you should measure 0 vlts to no more that 2 volts,if you do and the blower still does not operate a new blower is the solution

2001 Crown vic LX Sport..Blower motor inop car has auto climate control. blower stopped then worked again then stopped again.


The blower motor might be bad,turn it on,high blower,and bump the blower motor body with the palm of your hand,if it starts to run,or tries to run,then replace the blower motor.

Run 12 volts directly to blower motor to see if motor will run, if it does, than its blower motor resister thats bad, if it don't run than its blower motor motor thats bad. Most likely its the resister, common problem.

Most likely it is the blower motor resistor module. Bolts in the air duct right beside the blower motor under the dash and plugs directly into the blower motor
