Question about 2004 Saturn ION
2004 Saturn Ion CD Player will not take my CD's. It Pulls them in makes the buzzing sound like it's still pulling and then it spits it right back out. Happens with every CD I own.
Try to pull the 2 radio fuses in the inner fuse block for 10 min. If problem persists, it is internal to the radio.

This is more of a "work-around" rather than a solution, but I have found that if I "fog" the business side of the CD by exhaling my breath onto it, and then quickly inserting it into the CD slot, it usually works. It's as if whatever pulls the CD in is slipping and the little bit of vapor on the CD increases the friction and allows it to be pulled in more efficiently. That logic is probably flawed on a number of levels, but the point is, it works for me.

I have a 2006 chevy colorado pickup, and it has an mp3 Cd radio. I have a problem a lot of the time getting this to take a cd and you have to keep turning the cd a little bit or push it further in with another cd, how can I clean the insertion point?

SOURCE: saturn ion,sometimes wont start
The problem is in the ignition - the grease gets thick in the cold and doent turn quite right the first time. everything turns on, but the anti theft system thinks you have the wrong key so shuts off pwer to the starter. it takes 8-10 mintues to reset. That is why it normally starts when you come back later. I have had the same problem and done tons of reseach. Right now my temp solution has been a small heater and an extention cord. I keep it plugged in over night on a medium setting - just enough to keep the inside temp above freezing. I am also researching remote starts because saturn dealership charges $250 to replace the ignition, and a remote start will run about $300. Saturn wont do a recall because they feel it is not a safety hazard. I say that is bull. Good luck!

Firs thing is you need to get a spring compressor and working with one of these tools is dangerous. If it is not secured right the spring can expand and fly right through the car or you. after you have installed the spring compresser and locked it down. you can remove all the attaching parts to remove the strut. If you have any doubts you may be better off taking it to a tech so that the job is warranteed.

SOURCE: 2004 Saturn Ion transmission
It should be on the drivers side and it looks like the oil dipstick. Usually the top of the handle is shaped like a " T ". Most of the time it will be yellow and say trans on it. It may be lower than the oil dipstick. Good luck.
