Passenger front window won't go up

I started my car this morning I put the window down it made a wierd noise and now it won't go up. I tried turning the car off and then turning it back on and it will not go up. I am not sure what the problem is since the other windows work fine? What do you think it might be a clip possibly? Do you know if this is something I could buy a part for and fix myself or would a dealership have to fix it??

You can repair this yourself. you have to remove the door panel to gain access. when you do this i would just tap the motor lightly with a hammer and at the sametime press the button a couple of times. also push on the assembly and push the button at the same time. alot of times the window just sticks and it seems that the motor went bad most often times this is not the case. this should do the trick. god luck....please rate this thanks

Front is making noise when I turn

Kim:

Check your wheel bearings and ball joints. Checking the wheel bearings: stand next to the front tire, crouch down, put your hands on the top of the tire, and try to rock the top of the tire by pushing the top of the tire away from you and pulling the top of the tire toward you (rock it hard and fast). do both front tires. Any noise or sideways movement of the tire is bad, (Bearings are worn) and needs to be repaired. Then, stand at the front corner of the car, and push down on the front corner of the car repeatedly (rocking the corner of the car up and down (Rock it up and down Hard) If you hear the popping noise your ball joints need to be replaced. If these tests don't work but you still get the popping noise when you drive, take the car to a mechanic. Popping noises from the front end of a car is dangerous. If anything happens up there, you could lose your steering!

Left my window down in the rain and now it won't go up

It may have slid off the track from the water. If it doesn't start working once it dries out, a day or two depending on the weather, take the door panel off to make sure it is on the track properly and that the cables/wires have not corroded.

Won't turn over... just makes a clicking sound... and a wierd humming sound.

Try cleaning your terminals at the battery, even if not corroded. In my years as an alarm/radio installer I have come across this problem constantly, especially on GM vehicles.
