Question about 1995 Nissan Altima
My 1995 Altima has been fine until this week when it starting running very rough, chugging, losing rpms while driving and conking out several times. The engine always restarted immediately. The battery, water pump, and alternator were just changed. I filled the gas tank and added STP, changed the fuel filter but it still is doing the same thing.
I'm also having trouble shifting the automatic transmission since water was spilled into the console, but this happened months ago and the car shifted fine in cooler weather but it's difficult shifting when very hot. I'm in South Florida so the weather is very hot an humid.
For now I need to find out what the problem is with the "chugging" and"conking out" during driving. I'm not driving it for now. It has 130,000 miles on it.
Could also be a faulty mass air flow meter, or throttle position sensor. It's hard to tell, you need to take it to a shop to be properly diagnosed.
