Fuel gauge fluctuates between empty and 3/4 full bet never full. Will fill tank completely full to 26 gallons and gauge will read empty.

My Denali had the same thing. It is a factoey recall and is covered. If it is the same thing and if the recall does not have an expiration. Have your dealer look at it and it may be fixed for free.Mine eventually started leaiking fuel, which wil happen to you too, so go quick.

Ither you have a loose connection to the sending unit, or you guage is faulty. i would check the wires and connection. considering the age of your vehicle, I doubt you have a faulty gauge. even though this rarely occurs it's possible that you have a stuck float on your pump inside the tank but it's possible. please rate this .........thanks

My fuel gauge floats from full to empty when I stop at a light! And its stays on empty until I drive for about five minute why is that? I can't get an accurate fuel reading!!

I have the same vehicle and my car actually was full of gas, registered empty & left me on the side of the road..It was the sensor in the fuel line that had to be replaced.

2004 kia sodona was stopped at a stop light with a half a tank of gas and than 5 seconds later gas gage read empty and the fuel light came on

This is nothing more than the tank sending unit that has failed. I would look into a junk yard and see about buying a complete unit(pump/sending unit assembly). It will be substantially less than new. Let me know if you need instructions on repair.

The gas guage just stopped working and always reads empty. I put $23.00 in gas in my Jeep and it still says empty. What can I do?

i know my jeep liberty had a problem reading the gas level after i filled it.... but i figured it out that i had to start it run it for 30 secs then shut it off then turn it back on.... if thats still does work then it could be the sending unit... bring it to a repitable mechanic shop

1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee gas gauge reads empty but tank is full.

Fuel level sending units are known to go bad on these.

Gas gage constantly says full when it's not!

Unfortunately this is most likely the fuel pump module, which includes the fuel level sensor also. This should be diagnosed more thoroughly with a scanner, a good scanner will be able to check instrument cluster separately to confirm the gage is working right, and check for trouble codes that may not light any warning lamps. Hope this helps. Rate me please.P.S. Dont use that fuel station any more.

2004 Dodge Stratus gas guage starts to go empty

You likely need a new fuel sending unit (it's in the trunk, and is what drives the gauge).
