I am having trouble with my car not starting after it sits for a couple days.
I have replaced the alternator and the battery. I have had it checked out

Ok my hubby found the fuse #11 BLU (15) and the lite died but the fuse operates the Instrument panel, lamp monitor, interior lamps, interior lamps dimming, air conditioning, warning and alarms, radio. While removing the plastic under the dash it has alot of stuff attached to it and he has no diea what it goes to or what it does. So now nothing works and the car will still not start after having it on the charger for 3 hrs. Hubby has no idea what all the wires go to. Any other help would be very appreciated. Thanks

You need to check for a draw if the battery is dying when it sits, remove the NEGATIVE battery cable and place one end of a bulb style test light or just a 12 volt bulb in a socket with wire leads , so one of the wires will go on the NEGATIVE battery POST the other wire will go on the NEGATIVE battery CABLE this will complete the circuit (do not turn the key on like this) make sure everything is off including door lights, if the bulb is lit you have a draw. start by pulling fuses one at a time until the lite dies whatever fuse you removed that killed the light is causing your draw and that circuit should be inspected closer good luck and i hope this is what you meant please rate -jeff

93 buick lesabre with newer battery test shows charging system normal will not turn over in morning. Something drawing down battery overnight. When jumped will start and run fine during the day.

First, verify that none of your lights are remaining on, especially the TRUNK LIGHT and the GLOVE COMPARTMENT LIGHT.
Second, after you have driven the car for several miles, turn the car off and let it sit for one to two hours. Feel the back of the alternator. If it is hot, REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR, and your problem will stop (bad rectifier diode).

Car stops and on the dash its reads Infl. Rest Oil and volts. But i have a brand new alternator and battery.

If the engine has stopped the dash should display oil and volts. Your trouble is not with your alternator or battery. Your trouble is that your engine is stopping. More detail would be needed to do any meaningful troubleshooting. Is your Service Engine Soon light on? If so the mechanic will be able to see what trouble codes have been tripped.

1993 buick lesabre shut off while driving, battery was dead then bought a new battery drove well for 3 weeks then shut off while driving again had to jumpstart it.

Your alternator is bad. It's not recharging the battery as you are driving. The car is using battery voltage until it is all used up and then the engine dies. Replace the alternator and recharge the battery.

Where to find the charging systems

Trace the positive wire from the battery to the starter. From there it should go to the alternator. It sits along the side of the engine and your serpentine belt drives it. Just make certain you disconnect the battery before you start messing with it.
