Question about 2001 Kia Sephia

Thinking about purchasing 2001 Kia Sephia

I have been told that there is a problem with the brakes, not sure what it is. Also there is a belt squeaking. I wasn't told which belt. I would be getting car at a very good price, however I don't want to sink a lot of money in on fixing.

Ok with the brakes if there is a problem can be all this
brake pads
needs bleeding
brake line leaking
brake booster

and with the belt it may only be
air con belt
altinator belt
or fan belt
if u replace all three it will cost round 20 t0 25 dollars each belt
what u can do take a good look at all the belts look for cracks and see if there really worn or dry

What do the codes PO455 and PO128 mean on my kia sephia? I was told my fuel canister is only purchased at dealer that true>

P0455= Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (large leak)
P0128=Coolant Thermostat (Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature)

Nothing here says buy a new can!
it could be as simple as turning the gas cap three clicks past tight, that is a very common thing,The other thing shows you should change your thermostat

Timing belt replacement for 2001 Kia Sephia

For California models recommended at 105,000 miles.Belt needs to be inspected at 60,000 and 90,000, miles and replace at 105,000 miles.
Except California replace at 60,000 miles. Note 1.8L engine is a interference engine, if timing belt goes bad will cause major internal engine damage.

2001 sephia timing belt

No you need to bring your number 1 cylinder to to dead center, ( T.D.C. ) this will align your crank shaft then you can adjust your you cam marks. You will need to be sure that your number 1 cylinder is on the firing side and not the exhaust side.
