Question about 1997 Honda Passport
I am trying to get my passport threw its emmissions. I have been to three places and they are all telling me that there is a commincation problem. I have checked all the fuses and looked for lose wires. A mechanic freind hooked it up to his hand held scanner and that worked( he said it was probably because it has its own battery and the emissions scanner relies on the cars battery power. where shoud i start to look?
turn the key on if you are missing power to pin 16 run a wire from a fused key on only power source and cut the old wire about an inch from the back of the connector and splice in your new key on power wire good luck if the mechanics couldn't figure it out then this will save you some aggravation good luck please rate -jeff
