Yes they are also very hard to remove the bottom half is not so bad you have to remove the lower plastic cover to the airbox once you have done this test for power to the motor and if you cant do this ,take a hammer put the fan switch on high and smack the bottom half of the motor not to hard but be persuasive until it comes on then you know your motor is bad they will always work again for a little while if you do this, in order to remove the fan you are supposed to pull the dash back but i have done this by removing everything to get to the motor inside as mentioned then remove the windshield wiper cowl and reach down in side the airbox from out side the car with an 8 mm ratchet i believe,, and remove the nut holding the fan blade on the motor, separate the motor from the blade and you can now remove the motor from inside the car, take your time and you will also have to disconnect the fresh air flap door from the cable to the control unit first before you can reach your hand in from outside the car please rate -jeff

The fan for for heater and air is not working!

This is the blower behind the dash or behind the glove box , be sure to check the fuses if fuses are ok then the motor for the blower is damaged and needs replaced, the blower moter is attached to the fan. If you replace the blower motor you will need to get its location via vehicle specific. Do this on the web.

My 99 nissan frontier blower speeds work on 1,2,3 but, not on 4 . Any solutions?

usually its the heater fan resistor that is bad. it controls the fan speeds for blower motor. The blower motor is mounted under the glove box. It is in the corner somewhat covered by the kick panel. The card, at least on my pathfinder, is held in with 2 phillips head screws. The plug has 4 wires, one large wire and 3 smaller wires. You should see it very near to and parallel with the firewall.

The card has an on board fuse that is not replaceable. It is located on the passenger side fire wall to the left of the blower moter under the glove box. Held in with two silver phillps screws

How to replace the heater fan motor

to replace the blower motor on this car requires a great deal of patience because some of the screws are hard to remove, but if you take your time and patience you will get it out. the blower motor is located on passanger side of vehicle under the glove box

Location of blower motor on 97 Cherokee classic

the blower motor is on passengers side behind glove box. you can take it out from under glove box dash. to make the job easier, you may have to remove some fuses or relays because the blower motor will not come out with fuse box in the way. remove wiring connector to fan. then take out 3 or 4 screws that hold it in, then wiggle it straight out. if replacing, use old fan cage to put on new fan motor shaft. have a good holiday !

Heater/ac fan will not come on at all. I can feel heat when i put my hand to the vent, but the blower/fan is not working. I checked the fuse and it is fine. What could be the problem?

Test the blower motor by jumping 12 volts to the blower motor connector, if it works you have a defective blower motor speed control resistor which is located just next to the blower motor, i recommend u replace both as the blower motor ages it draws more current and this causes the resistor fail, u should be able to buy these parts in the aftermarket, the dealer parts will be very expensive.

The blower motor is behind the glove box. Remove the glove box (3screws, 1 on the left side and 2on the bottom). Remove the glove box lower frame (4 screws). The blower motor assembly will be on the right hand side under the dash

Heater does not blow out any air

There is a fuse panel under the dash on the driver's side and the maxi-fuse box is under the hood on the driver's side. If the fuses are good, it is probably the blower fan which is located under the dash on the passenger's side. (Behind the glove box.)

Blower motor location for 2000 Caravan

The motor is located just under the glove box on the passenger side. I remove the glove box then the panel below the glove box. I also go ahead and pull back the carpet and the padding under the motor. It is held in place by 3-4 bolts that take a 7-8 millimeter socket. I use a swivel extension for the back bolts. The motor with the fan blade attached is a tight fit, just keep wiggling and pulling it should come out. Try to remove the old moter without cracking the fan blade, because sometimes the replacement motor doesn't come with a blade
