Question about 1994 Ford Probe
I have a probe and it cut out just no spark so i bought a second hand distributer and sorted itself out for a week and it done it again they say i have to repair distributer and imobaliser together is this true and how do i go abought fixing this problem
Chances are the distributor / crank angle sensor is the problem, its a common problem with probes as i have found out , i own a 1996 gt 2.5 v6 and i have gradually narrowed it down to these,

Or do the HEI mod... the probe gt distributors are prone to burning out real quick. Goto www.probetalk.com or www.mx.com and they have tons of info on the forums. Mine runs great now

Sounds like your immobilizer is giving you trouble i don't think you'd need to reprogram for a distributor if it worked for a week, your only option is bring to dealer to have immobilizer checked out please rate -jeff
