On the end of the wiper arms their is a 13mm headed nut ,slacken this nut off then using a two legged mini extractor pull the the arm off the shaft then reposition them ,i bought a cheap extractor in the local chinese shop and it works well for this and only cost me about 3 euros
Sounds as if it is a cable or the speedo sensor. If there is ABS it could also be the ABS sensor playing up on one of the wheels.
Best advice is take it to a diagnostic place or find a local mobile diagnostic mechanic where they can tell you why the light is coming on the desk.. This may be a cheaper way as they may be able to tell you the exact part which is showing the fault.
Removed cluster from dashboard and unplugged & turned the whole cluster clockwise very slowly and needle started moving from 150 mph back down to 0 mph when rotation was completely done. Kept cluster upright while re-installing and plugged back in the plugs on back and everything was fine. Called local Dodge dealer and told me would take 30-45 minutes to reset and would cost approximately $70 to fix. Took about 8-10 minutes of my time and saved myself $70. This may not work for everyone but this was my amazing quick fix thanks to GOD for giving me this thought to try this.
You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle,
arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the
panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want
to break them. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal
(can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to
access everything inside the door
Gages are always a problem. Check with you dealer for most are sold as rebuilts with exchange of your old one. Most American made cars have cluters made by Nippondenso and are all imported to the USA. No one here repairs them for the circuitry design and mileage factors are called in before the order is placed
If you are good with a soldering iron you can maybe fix it.. the speedometer is ran by a small motor . this can be found behind the speedometer needle. it is soldered to a printed circuit behind all that .. these motors can be bought on ebay for about 5 bucks each..if you decide to tear into it just give me a holler jerry at firstname.lastname@example.org I will talk you through it .. thanks
I have the 2000 Cadillac Catera Sport and I had the same problem. ABS, TC light and no speedometer and odo. I thought it was an electrical problem however I solved the problem by refurbishing the ABS Module. If you bring to the dealer it will cost you $3,000. You can have your ABS module rebuilt try modulemaster.com they do it for about $200 I believe. I got mine fixed because a friend of mine removed them and soldered some loose connectors together. All it cost me was a case of beer! It worked for my car just a suggestion for you guys. My ABS Module was a Bosch 5.3. Hope this helps!
