1998 GMC Safari-Electrical Problems

I've only had this a couple of weeks. When I looked at this at the dealers, the drivers side window would stick. They replaced the motor and it was fine. But a few days ago both windows quit working. Then we noticed the fans not working, then we noticed the windshield wipers didn't work.
Checked all of the fuses, they all appear to be fine.
Any ideas what could be causing all of these problems?
Thanks,
Melissa

Ok, thanks. This is a dumb question, but I really don't know alot about cars. So how would I check the relays? We looked at the relays, but since they are solid, could not really see anything. Would you use an Ohm meter to check the relays?

    Thanks again,

    Melissa

i have a problem with the radio cutting in and out, mostly out, and then when i shut the van off the radio comes on for a sec, and then tonight my dome lights were on when i came back from a appointment, i couldn't get them to go off, i went to a friends house for awhile, i took the positive cable off the battery, when i hooked it back up the lights seemed to work ok, but the radio is still doing the same thing, any ideas....1999 GMC Safari

check your relays, sounds like a relay has gone bad. Alot of times relays have shared functions.

Take it to a shop to be sure. Mostly relays are black block looking things (somtimes white) near or in the fuse box under the hood.. When you pull them out look at the bottom of them, if they are black and discolored you got yourself a faulty relay.

How do I drain the engine coolant from a 1998 GMC Safari?

I just remove the lower radiator hose for the fastest drain, but there is a drain valve on the back of the side tank of the radiator (drivers side) that u can only access from under the van

Gmc 1997 safari egr valve failed etest looking how to clean it

Cleaning EGR valves is not an option in this vehicle as some of the components that stick and malfunction are located where they can not be cleaned. You are better off getting one from a junkyard, or a new parts store. This will be much cheaper than buying a new one from the dealer. Also, don't forget to pick up a new gasket.
There is a good used parts search located at www.car-part.com

Vent control not working.

Usually due to vacuum leak. GMC uses poor quality plastic piping going form the left side front of engine by ac accumulator and runs to the driver side of engine

Is bank 1 on the o2 sensors the 1 located on the drivers side? Vehicle is a 98' GMC Safari 2wd.

You have it right Avalanche.
Bank 1 is normally the one with the #1 cylinder side.
So Bank 1 sensor 1 is the first one downstream, bank 1 sensor 2 is the one after the catalytic converter.
