Question about 2005 Ford F-150
Hello i have a problem with my door lock system it doesn't work anymore
he tells door lock data error how can i fix this?
yes they should come off unless they are stuck. this is where the problem arises. if the rotors are stuck. what you can do is slam the whole piece where the rotor is on a block of wood so that it won't be damaged. but the rotor would not be touching the wood. let the weight of the rotor force itself off it's holder.
as it comes off, you could notice the rust that have caused it to stuck.
clean it thoroughly before assembling back.
i hope i was able to help,

I had almost the identical problem on my 2005 F150 FX4 Extended cab last weekend. The power door locks would not lock using the keypad, remotes, or door buttons. Almost all other functions worked correctly. The doors unlocked, the radio delay functioned, and the interior lights dimmed. When I used the remote the horn would beep twice indicating that a door was open even there was no message on the message center that a door was open. When I used the keypad or remote, I could hear a soft click from behind the seat. I think it was coming from the body security module or body security module - whatever Ford is calling it this year. I pulled the fuse for the Power Door Locks(BSM). As I removed it, I heard a soft click - sort of like a relay resetting. It may have come from the VSM/BSM. It may have possibly been a stuck actuator releasing. I don't think so. It wasn't that load. In any case, everything is functioning correctly now.

I had the same problem, weather was cold but only -15 nothing severe. It ended up needing tensioner pulley and for $60 plus labour I was on my way.

if you go to your local library you can get pictures and diagrams you are asking for and they will let you make copies to take with you as well.

Encoder motor located on the transfer case is usually the problem. It is the motor that shifts the transfer case.
