Lights hi i'm an owner of a jag x type 2004... when i switch on the lights its not balanced, too short a distance. I cant see further at night and its making me go down in speed. On top of that the head lights too are beaming down on the road very close to the car. Cannot see anything from afar. Please be kind enough to let me know the problem. I have tried the level changer on the right side to the strng wheel. But it doesnt work. Thanks AR

2004 jag x type- dash indicates pas door open, but all doors are shut. interier light stays on.

that i am 99% sure this will be the latch faulty on that door. the switch that is faulty is part of the latch mechanism. it may be a wiring problem but unlikely, new latch is the answer.hope this helps.

I have a 2004 Jag s type w/ 45k miles. Last night I got all the system lights and "transmission fault, parkbrake fault and dsc not available." Got home, turned it off, restarted after 1 minute, restarted...

First thing to do is get the battery checked and replaced if necessary. If the problem continues, it will be necessary to have a pro-shop check the fault codes (go to a Jag specialst, not a dealer)

My two remote key openers for my 2004 X Type Jag are not working. Can I replace batteries and if so what kind and where do I buy?

It may not be the battery, it may be the ignition switch. There is a switch within the key barrel if this switch gets dirty the remote lock, I have a 2004 model. Squirt some WD40 into the key barrel and turn the key a few time to shift the dirt, then try the remote. The switch is design not to lock the doors accidently, so the switch has to closed, when you take the key out of the barrel.
