2002 Crysler Sebring swap 2.7 for 3.2 engine

Do you know (1) if it is possible to drop a 3.2 into a 2.7 convertable, and, if so (2) are their kits and/or manuals for the swap?

    Is it possible to swap a 3.2 for a 2.7 on an 01 sebring conv.
    If it is what year 3.2 should I look for.

    can I put a 3.2 in place of a 2.7 in a 2001 Sebring convetable, also is the block the same for all 2.7 engines, like itrepid and stratus?

My 2.7 just went out and I found this post that it was possible and half the price to purchase the 3.2 and mods than purchasing a 2.7.

"I spent about 1400.00
OK, i will give you the break down..

Engine. 900.00, has alt. and power steering pump on it.

Motor mounts. 150.00, but could have reused the pass side. so could have been 75.00

Throttle cable. 25.00

Power steering Res. 40.00 used.. 95.00 new.

Water pump.. 60.00 new not rebuilt.

Timing belt. 85.00

Hoses and belts.. 50.00

Probablly 100.00 on other stuff like oil and filters and power steering fluid"

2.7 to 3.2 engine in 2001 sebring

    The moter in the 2001 sebring sits sideways.The 98 intrepid 3.2 sits like a standard engine and the 3.2 look llike its to big to fit. have a 3.2 engine dont want to do the work unless it would fit.Did you ever find out if the 3.2 would fit into a 2001 sebring.can find pictures to see.

Hey needed wiring diag. for radio $ AC with all white wire

first off what are you doing, we dont know,
1: factory 01 radio for 01 swap?
2 factory 01 for 2010 swap factory?
3: after market to stock 01 harness?
but if #3 , which i suspect, then this is in the FSM read that.

the factory harness kit, for your car, this has a real factory
connector on one end and wires to your new aftermarket radio.
this is best, and far better than hacking up any car harness.

Possible door lock actuator. Or you have a mechanical failure in the mechanism. Id remove door panel and inspect the mechanism but if you dont know what to look for, take to a reputable shop

This is Bank 1 (closer to the dash panel) Sensor 2 (located after the catalytic converter).

Note: A malfunctioning front oxygen sensor may cause fuel trim codes to set.

  2. Engine BANK Bank 1 is closer to the dash panel, (also referred to as RH or right hand). Bank 2 is closer to the radiator, (also referred to as LH or left hand).
  3. UP Refers to Sensor 1 or "front sensor". It is located closer to the exhaust manifold and before the catalytic converter.
  4. DOWN Refers to Sensor 2 or "rear sensor." It is located after the catalytic converter.
  5. The following examples show how to interpret oxygen sensor terminology:
  6. B1/S1 = Bank 1/Sensor 1 = Dash panel side, BEFORE the catalyst or "upstream"
  7. B2/S2 = Bank 2/Sensor 2 = Radiator side, AFTER the catalyst or "downstream"

Had transmission rebuilt in my s10 blazer now it

Transmission does not shift automatically, only manually. Swap in a known-good PCM, check wiring, check other sensors such as VSS and TPS.

3rd gear starts, can manually shift through all gears. When car has been turned off for a bit, then back on it will run normally.: VSS drop off w/ Hi-stall converter. The rpms are too high, but VSS is showing no movement. Happens after a tire burning take-off. Doesn't store a code, will not throw a CEL (I've heard that it will store a code if it happens 3 or more times). Cure: Reprogram PCM for VSS drop off -- PCMforLess knows about it.

Note that many problems that show up as transmission issues are actually PCM or electrical, and may be external to the transmission. Try a different PCM, and check for chafing where the cables come out of the PCM or the transmission on the passenger side.

What are the codes for the following mean?1-2,5-5 and 3-7 I am trying to find out what these codes are so I can fix the problem.

if you go to, they have access to free online manuals, the codes and solutions are there. you will need to register and provide info about your vehicle, it is FREE! all of this was provided by the 1-2 looks like it would be 12 (1 flash followed by 2 flashes) this states battery disconnect the 5-5 is 55 (5 flashes followed by 5 flashes) indicating that is is finished or completed of fault code display on Check Engine Lamp the 3-7 or 37 has three possibilities: torque converter clutch- no rpm drop at lockup, solenoid circuit or park /neutral switch failure, i hope this is what you were looking for, Good Luck!

the 2 wires work your backup lights you still have to get power to your lockup converter possible ecm replacement and wiring diagram needed??

Might be going super simple here but from what you have said have you checked the wiring on your sensors? If you know that one works and you swap it and its not working its very possible the wires farther up are shorted or burned somewhere.

Which engine fits a del sol honda 1993

Anything that is OBD 1 or newer if you want it to be legal, here are the most common options and the basic requirements. 1. B16A2/3: Completely bolt-in Swap, VTEC needs to be wired, SIR II, Hasport shift linkage. Del Sol VTEC for the del sol 2. B18B: Completely bolt-in swap, SIR II, Hasport shift linkage. Del Sol VTEC for the del sol 3. B17A: Completely bolt-in swap, cable-hydro transmission kit(not recommended) or hydraulic b-series transmission, VTEC needs to be wired. 4. B18C1: Completely bolt-in swap, VTEC needs to be wired. 5. B18C5: Completely bolt-in swap, OBD conversion, VTEC needs to be wired. 6. B16B: Completely bolt-in swap, OBD conversion, VTEC needs to be wired. 7. H22A: Mount kit required, Hasport shift linkage, VTEC needs to be wired. 8. B16A: Not recommended!
