If the radiator fans are working correctly, then sounds like a sticking thermostat. Only popping open when getting really hot. I would start with replace the thermostat.
Wait... This a 2011.. don't you have warranty still ?????? Take to dealer..

Why remove heat control valve? Bad idea.. Because of overheat? Put the defrost on and open the front windows to dump heat.

My 2005 honda civic is not producing heat only blowing cold air

Check that the heater pipe are hot, there are 2 pipes 1 in and 1 out. if both cold could be stat .If 1 is hot and the other is cold it could be air or blocked heater matrix, with car running take cold pipe off . if water flows out check its warm, if it flows out cold leave till water warms up then put pipe back on, make sure you keep radiator topped up while your doing it, if no water comes out when you take the pipe off the matrix is blocked, take both hoses of and flush through with a hose pipe.

How the hell do you bleed a cooling system on a 1.1 n reg ford fiesta mrk 3 1996 3 door been trying for ages.

filler cap off on water tank. heater on full (now power to fan) red zone. fill water to top off water bottle. run engine till fans come on to cool down, wile this you need to squeeze the pipes where you can to help the air come out. and fill the water tank to the top so you can see the air come out. when engine at temp tern off engine and leave to cool. if the cab is not hot inside wile you are doing this then the valve control is not working. were the two pipes from the water system goes in to the cab there is a black valve with 2 wires in it this will need to be replaced as the valve has gone they cannot be fixed as it would off rusted closed inside. they dont cost a lot at all if you look for one. failing this take it out and put 2 copper pipes in its place until the winter weather has gone. this means the heat will be on all the time had to do this to my sisters car when here vale went.

My 2002 ford courier heater wont blow hot air the blower is fine but no heat oil an wayer levels are fine good engine just no heat anyone help please and thanks

Hello. This is a common problem on fiesta's and KA's so I presume it could be the same on the courier. There is a valve which 2 pipes goes in and 2 come out behind. The vave is stuck shut! They are right next to each other and about 1 inch wide. If you look at the bulkhead you will see these 2 pipes and they lead into the valve inbetween the wipers. Two clips hold the pipe on and two other clips behind the valve. These will have to be removed and the valve taken off. You will loose a small amount of water when removing the pipes. Just make sure the engine is cold so you don't scold yourself. The valve is quite cheap approx £30 and will take about 30 mins to do

I have a 1992 toyota camry le with a 3.0 v6. I'm having an issue with the heating system. It blows somewhat of warm air and not hot air? The engine warms up to normal operating temp. Do i need to change...

I would start by checking the hoses at the heater core. One should be hot the other cooler but still pretty warm. If one is hot and 1 is a lot cooler you probably have a plugged heater core. You can also check to see if you hear the blend door slamming and check air temp change when you switch from full cold to full hot. If there isn't a clunk at full hot or cold the door might be stuck.

Heater in ford ka only blowing cold air

Hi if the car is not overheating then it will be the heater control unit, this is located just under the front windscreen when the bonnet is open look at the back and you will see 2 pipes going in and going back out of the bulkhead, these go all the time copy and paste this link into your browser

Check the thermostat aswell, and ensure the fan is working on the radiator , most likely though will be that part. very common
