You dont have glow plugs on your truck it has a heating element in the intake

Sorry about the double input ... I had to register and didnt realize my comment went through.

I had a similar problem on my 97. But it would also stall when I came to a stop. The low idle speed needed adjusting. The vibration from the motors wears down the bar that increases the idle and over time my motor just simply starved for fuel. Its a simple turn of a screw to find out if it is the problem or not. Idle speed should be With Automatic trans and AC on 750-800.

Have you changed your fuel filter lately?

Also if there is any water in the fuel your sensor will keep it from starting.

Your Cummins will run on **** if you drink enough whiskey the night before so I would check fuel issues. Hope it you get it figured out.

Is it possible that there may be a glow plug problem and the cylinders are not getting the proper temperature requirements thus causing the problem with having to use either your glow plugs may not be cycling properly (this is just an old school guess) good luck write back with feed back

Trouble starting after clutch/flywheel replacement

if starter does'nt turn over or only sometimes turns over the problem is the bolts that hold starter in there is something covering them (Sealant,Oil,Grease,Paint) the bottom of these bolts must be bare metal to provide A good ground for starter a quick ck of this to confim can be done with a jumper cable one end of cable on battery negative term and other to back cover of starter (scrape paint) do not let it hit starter power wire (red) turnn key if it works correctly you know you have a bad ground
bad engine grounds can also affect dash gauges from providing a believable reading and also electronic engine mgmt controlls

Well, Hate to say this to you but your Cummins 24v turbo diesel does not have glow plugs. The fuel temperature necessary for proper ignition is heated by an element inside your fuel filter housing.

You most likely have a internal short in the starter. You could pay to have a cranking test done or just replace the starter.

2006 dodge ram 2500 4x4 diesel replace brake pads front and back

Straight forward job. Remove wheels, remove 2 caliper bolts per wheel, check bolts, and bushings for wear/corrosion and lubricate, remove calipers, remove brake pads, push caliper pistons into calipers, replace anti-rattle clips, put new pads in, put caliper and bolts in, put wheels on. Start truck and press brake pedal several times to take up slack and you're done.
