It's funny because the dealership told me I needed a fuel filler tube, but when I took it to AutoZone for a free dx check they said my fuel cap was loose or defected. Toyota was so adamant that I had a leak-them thinking I am a female and I don't know, but I didn't see any leakage of course. Fuel cap only cost 20 bucks verses the 300.00 service to replace the filler tube plus a list of unneeded service. What do you know, check engine light is off and Toyota is full of it.

P0441 1998 Toyota Camry - Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow

When is the code detected? Pressure in charcoal canister and fuel tank does not drop during purge control (2 trip detection logic).

Possible symptoms: - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Possible a noticeable fuel odor caused by the release of fuel vapors

P0441 1998 Toyota Camry Description: The Engine Control Module (ECM) tests the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) system for the following conditions:
- Large and small leaks

- Excess vacuum

- Purge flow during non-commanded conditions

- Fuel Level and Fuel Pressure sensor faults

- EVAP Purge and Vent Valve faults

The ECM monitors the Fuel Tank Pressure sensor in order to determine the level of vacuum/pressure in the EVAP system. The ECM commands both the EVAP Purge Solenoid and the EVAP Vent Valve ON when the conditions are met in order to apply an engine vacuum to the EVAP system. The ECM commands the EVAP Purge Solenoid OFF once the system has reached a predetermined level of vacuum. This test verifies if a vacuum can be achieved in the EVAP system. Failure to develop a vacuum may be caused by a large leak or a restriction.

Code po446 came up on my 1999 toy camry 2.2 how do I fix.....

Check to make sure the canister purge valve on the airfilter hosing has the vacuum lines connected to it. It is really common for these to come of or the fittings to break when checking/replacing the air filter.

to check the valve itself unplug it. Supply power to one pin and ground to the other. You should here it click. You can also try blowing through it. I dont remember exactly but either you will be able to blow it with it powered up and not be able to blow through it with it not powered up or just the opposite.

There is also a VSV on the charcoal canister that goes bad and causes this code. Same thing as above to check it.

If both of those check out than you will need to have the system checked for leaks with a smoker.

Code po440 evaporative emissions system & check engine light on

P04440 is a generic error code for the fuel vapour evaporative emission control system. This system is designed to trap fuel vapour build up in the fuel tank in a carbon canister and then to release these trapped vapours to be burnt when the engine is running. The car has a diagnostic process by which it checks the pressure integrity of the system. Anything out of the ordinary can result in the P0440 error. Check that your filler cap has a good seal and that it is fitted tightly. If this sorts out the problem the error code and CEL will disappear within a few restarts of the engine.

Fuel filter location 2000 camry

The fuel filter is the LAST thing you need to look at. I would be first looking at the age of the spark plugs. Get the car to somebody who can scan it. If the scan result is a P-0301/2/3/4/5/6, that would indicate bad plugs.

Ck engine light

The On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) computer on the 2003 Camry is a second generation (or OBD-2) and is far more advanced that its predecessor. You could purchase an OBD-2 code reader for anywhere between $69 and $159, but considering that you may never have need for it again, I would sugggest just going to Advance Auto, Auto Zone, Pep Boys, O'Reily or other store, and have them run a free diagnostic (they want to sell you the replacement parts). The printout will tell you exactly what is wrong.

if the air filter was recently inspected or changed, look for the vacuum hose to be disconnected from the valve located on the air filter cover. another source may be the gas cap either loose or with the tether strap caught under it preventing a proper seal

Orange check light on what does it mean cant tell what the symbol is?

The orange check light is the Check Engine light. This comes on when you have something wrong with the systems/sensors that are controlled by the vehicle's computer. The Check Engine light comes on for a myriad of reasons, the number one culprit is a loose fuel filler cap. What I would suggest to you is to take your car to an Autozone or somewhere where you could get a scanner plugged into your car's diagnostic connector, and get the reason for the light being on identified. Once you have the trouble code, you can get back to me for additional info to rectify your situation!
