Question about 1997 Plymouth Breeze

1 Answer

1997 Plymouth Breeze

Why is my car hard to start when cold? It cranks over about 5-8 seconds before firing up. It is even considerd cold after i stop it and try to restart it after 5 minutes. I installed new plugs and wires. I even started burning premium gas, no difference.
HELP!
Thanks,
Johnnie

Most probably ur crank position sensor or the pick-up coil is defective (or nearly). What that does is the computer knows where the No.1 cylinder is so that he knows when to send the spark to the correct spark plug. Now ur computer doesn't seem to know where the No.1 cylinder is, so he fires at random. Eventually the spark lands at the right place at the right time, hence ur engine is long to start.
That is my best guess.

How do i bleed the fuel line on 1997 plymouth breeze?

Could be anything

You had work done & now have problems

That should tells you the shop wasn't very good
at much

No bleeding,if the injectors fire, the air goes out with
the fuel

If you got no spark or injector pulse, then have a shop scope the
crank sensor

1997 Plymouth Breeze turns over but wont start changed coil, camshaft sensor, crank sensor, fuel pump. Help Please We really need this car!

Was one part that got replaced even tested &
failed a test?

There are four parts you mentioned
I would bet none were bad

Now how does someone guess without the car
& no testing of your vehicle, how is that possible?

Have you checked for spark, injector pulse, fuel pressure,
or compression??

Have you looked to see if the timing belt is on or the cams
even turn?

Sounds like lack of experience & I don't mean to be hurtful,
but when you throw parts at something, you need to learn how
things work & how to test a vehicle

1997 Cadillac Deville Vin Y hard starting

I would check the fuel pressure. You may have a problem with the fuel pump relay or the one way valve in the pump.

I got a breeze 96. i rent out of gas and my car stop. we put some gas in it try to start it and the car wan to start but nothing.i check the fuel pump it work i check the fire no spark on the sparkplugs...

There are three wires that go to the ignition coil, disconnect the connector and hook up a test light to the center terminal on the wiring harness, turn the key on. The light should come on for 1 second and then will go out. Crank the engine and the light should then come back on and stay on as long as you are cranking. If it doesn't then you might have problem with the Engine Crank Sensor or the Cam Sensor.
