How do I access the roof aerial fitting on Renault Scenic

I need to replace the roof aerial on my scenic, and need to remove the interior light fitting to gain access to it. Unfortunately, I can't work out how to do this. It looks like it is a push fit, but I'm not keen to apply too much force in case I break it.

SOURCE: bonnet release in grill broke renault megane scenic

when you say the bonnet has been pushed in do you mean like in a traffic accident if this is the case then is your grill damaged, the reason i say this is the only way you are going to open your bonnet is through your grill so a replacement grill will be needed.if you take this course of action, take a torch and look up under the bonnet you will se the bonnet realease at the very front of your bonnet it will have the bonnet realease cable attached you might need help at this stage, get a friend to push down on your bonnet, put your hand in and push or pull the lever until it releases as this works on a hook system and with the damage it might need a pretty stronge screwdriver to force it always remember the radiator is very easly damaged and very costly to replace .Hope this will help you get your bonnet open .adrian

SOURCE: renault scenic drivers electric window motor runs

The track guide that operates the window from the motor is damaged or has jumped track. Remove the inner door panel and operate the window and see which has happened. If it has jumped track check for missing or damaged guide retainers if it is damaged or broken replace it. Normally runs about $15 to $20 for the part. Now if the drive guide is not damaged and it is still not working the gear that drives it is damaged and you will need to replace the motor as this is pressed on and not user replaceable. Good Luck

SOURCE: inner door panel removal, renault megane scenic

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls

SOURCE: zigzag light on megane scenic dashboard comes on

this exact problem on a megane coupe is caused by a small air pipe that connects to a 2 inch wide black box that is located under the bonnet near the windscreen on the passangers side. the zigzag light indicates an electrical fault (in this case lack of compression and will affect your revs) if you find this pipe and it has snapped off. the reason for this may be that your engien is lose and moves. grab the engien with 2 hands and see if you can wobble it with allot of play. if so your engien mountings need replaceing. you may also experiance juddering in low gears

Renault scenic wipers and park lights stay on

Try removing the plastic trim on the steering column, pull off the multi pin plugs on the stick switches and see if that stops them. May be the switch is the cause?

Carefully unclip/prise the direct surrounding from around the cluster and then unplug the wiring (2 plugs on the front) now unscrew the 2 screws on each end and gentle remove the digial cluster unit. ABOUT A 10-15MINS JOB. All this can be done sitting in your drivers set.Send it to the above cost about £195 and they'll send it back with a 2yr warrenty. Dealer charges in the region of £400.
