indicates that the bump rubber at the pedal under the dash is missing or that stopper needs adjustment
The only obvious problem will be your getting a tired leg as you have to lift it higher to get o the pedal
Yes, there is a switch above the clutch pedal that prevents starting unless the pedal is depressed. Please let me know if you have more questions, and thanks for using FixYa.
CHECK CRUISE CONTROL FUSE. IF FUSE GOOD PROBLEM IS IN THE SERVO MOTOR THE CRUISE CONTROL MODULE VACUUM PUMP AND CLUTCH VENT VALVE THE BRAKE VENT VALVE AND VACUUM SIGNAL AMPLIFIER.YOU HAVE TO TAKE CAR TO DEALERSHIP THEY HAVE EQUIPMENT TO FIX IT.
I too am having problems with my 2006 GV clutch master cylinder. I noticed gradually over several weeks the gears and clutch pedal were degenerating and then the cluth gave completely. My mechanic took a look around and said the cylinder is the cheapest one he has ever seen, it's just a piece of plastic apparently! Is going to hopefully get the part this week or next, though he said as it's such a cheap and nasty part its likely it will happen again in the future. Not happy!
YOU NEED A HAYNES MANUAL BECAUSE IT WILL SHOW AND TELL YOU HOW TO REMOVE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER.TO REMOVE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER YOU HAVE TO GO INSIDE THE VECHICLE AND REMOVE THE LEFT SIDE UNDER THE DASH PANEL.YOU HAVE TO UNCLIP AND SLIDE OUT PIN SECURING THE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER TO THE CLUTCH PEDAL.AND YOU WILL HAVE TO UNSCREW THE MOUNTING BOLTS AND DETACH THE MASTER CYLINDER FROM THE FIRE WALL.YOU WILL NEED HAYNES MANUAL.YOU HAVE TO REMOVE OTHER THINGS BEFORE DOING THE JOB.YOU NEED FLARE OR INLINE WRENCH ALSO.
Look under the hood on the drivers side near the fire wall which is near the windshield. There should be a round rubber top. It may be dirty. If you find it take the rubber cap off and check it. If there is not one It could be a cable clutch. A cable clutch does not have any fluid or adjusting when it is done it just breaks. Hope this helps
tandard practice to change the oil on a clutch replacement. Was the replacemmiles it's covered, but it's not sounds like the gearbox oil need changing. You don't say how many miles it has done. Gear box oil is not usually changed in a clutch replacement. Did an Audi garage carry out the rlacement? It could be the cable needs adjusting to allow the clutch to have free movement
