Of course you can not start your engine because you have an immobilizer. you have to replaced the battery of the remote in order to disable the alarm for the car to run. or sometimes these remotes would have another unit as a spare key. use it if it is still working.

tnx 4 using fixya.

Not sure about yours, but many will reset by: turn key to "on" and wait 15 minutes or so; shut off, then try to start.

I tried replacing battery in my remote. Sometimes it work and sometimes it doesn't. I think it could be a wiring problem in the remote. I know it's a major paun having to hurry up and put key in ignition befofr alarm starts going off.

I inserted my key to the lock and the key could not turn aroud to open the door. I assume that it is the door lock is jammed and do not know what to do.

Hi,

If the driver's lock is jammed, gain access to your vehicle from one of the other doors.

If neither of the door locks allow entry, then it's possible your doors have been "dead-locked" via a remote entry system or similar.

You need to either unlock via remote key entry, or via another door.

this is the program procedure.- put key in the ignition. with one hand turn the key to the on position with the other hand hit the unlock button on the remote. do this 4 times and you should hear the doors unlock. (these steps need to be done fairly quickly) at this point hit the lock button and you will be all set

They all do it, its part of the security system that all the doors lock after a minute or so from unlocking if you don't open the driver's door.
It prevents you from accidentally unlocking the car door while walking away and clicking the remote in your pocket, the car re-locks on its own.
If you open with the remote then open only the rear door, the other doors all lock and when you close the rear the alarm goes off.
What fun we have!
