Firing order on a 350 is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 on the motor, looking at it you have the fan in front of you. On your right you have the odd numbers, the left, the even. Starting from the fan on the right it will be 1, 3, 5, and 7. On the left from the fan it will be 2, 4, 6, and 8. On the distrubitor you'll see 8 prongs for the wires. Looking at the distrubitor from above, you'll see a black box on the drivers side. Use the firing order I gave you, start at the second prong clockwise from that box and hook up your wires accordingly to the firing order. Remember to go in a clockwise rotation!

Is there a way to know if you have a park plug issue or spark plug wire issue?

To check a spark plug it must be removed from the engine. The insulator should be a light golden brown with no oily deposits. The gap should also be checked and compared to the specification in the owners manual or a repair manual. Spark plug wires can be tested with a spark plug wire tester. A tool that looks somewhat like a spark plug with a clear section in the middle and a clamp on one end. This tool gets plugged into a spark plug wire and clamped to a ground or the engine block. Start the engine and check for spark through the clear part of the tool. Also run the car at night or in a dark garage and check to see that none of the wires are raking.

My 1994 mazda 626 starts and ldles but stalls when driving

ENGINE STALL WHILE DRIVING COULD BE STOPPED UP FUEL FILTER OR FAULTY FUEL PUMP.IDLE SPEED TOO LOW.OR IGNITION COIL HAS A LOOSE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION.FAULTY IGNITION MODULE.BAD PLUGS AND WIRES. I WOULD DO A LITTLE TUNE UP.CHANGE FUEL FILTER AND AIR FILTER.IF SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES HAS OVER 30000 MILES ON THEM I WOULD CHANGE THEM.ALSO FUEL FILTER IF OVER 30000 MILES.CHANGE IT CLEAN FUEL INJECTORS. TO TROUBLE SHOOT CAR I WILL DO A LITTLE TUNE UP FIRST TO MAKE EVERYTHING TOP NOTCH ON THE ENGINE BEFORE I GO TO NEXT LEVEL.BUYING NEW PARTS DONT NEED.GET VECHICLE SCANNED WITH A SCANNER. THAT WILL ALSO PIN POINT PROBLEM QUICKLY.BUT DO THE LITTLE TUNE UP FIRST IF EVERYTHING PAST 30000 MILES MARK.SCAN VECHICLE FOR FAULTY IDLE SPEED CODES OR FAULTY IGNITION MODULE CODE THEY WILL COST MORE MONEY TO FIX.PARTS HIGH.

I would change the spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, fuel filter, check and change air filter if dirty, check timing, check and top off all fluids, check or change transmission fluid, check brake pads/.shoes and drums/rotors for wear and check tire pressure, check the condition of all belts and hoses and replace as needed, check condition of radiator antifreeze and top off or replace as needed.

I have developed a miss or hasitation in my engine proformance and I have replaced spark plugs I have a 1997 Q45

Replace the spark plug wires. Did you replace the plugs one at a time making sure that you put the same wire you removed back on each one? If you didn't, the engine will misfire and hesitate.

YOU did the tune up? Check that the wires are in the right position, that the connection to the plug and distributor cap are good. Did you replace rotor and distributor cap? Wires could be needed. That wire might be bad

How can i change plugs & wires on 1995 Pontiac Grand am 6 cyl

Your mechanic is telling you the truth. That is the only way to replace the spark plugs and wires on the backside of the engine and the price is about right. The labor is 2.1 hours (round down to 2 hours) at $75.00 per hour would be $150. I also think a fuel tune up will correct your problem. A full tune up includes the air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, and spark plug wires. I hope this has been helpful.

You may have water in the spark plug hole, or a shorted plug wire, pull #4 wire and look for water residue and a possible burn mark on the plug wire were it goes over the plug.
