Question about 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 2WD
On my wifes 05 2wd 4door silverado w/ tow package ,I found an electrical distribution board mounted on the rear crossmember on the drivers side above/beside the spare tire behind the rear bumper. I unplugged the four wiring harness connectors and SLIGHTLY bent the male tabs on the distribution board and this fixed the problem. The entire unit can be removed from the frame with 1 -10 mm bolt to ease in this modification.Make sure all lights are turned OFF before attempting this.

You will need to replace the turn signal switch, this is a common problem on these trucks, have fixed it on a family members chevy silverado.
