1995 Suburban 1500 4x4 , Brakes where woking fine then we hooked up an older Horse trailer .. brakes went out , everything else workes , running lights headlights , turn signals , all back bulbs appear fine - all light up with running lights , and the reverse light works. When brake is applyed nothing happens. We did change the fuse and take the tail lights off to check the bulbs, and assure all wiring was fine, horse trailer is fine except no brake lights when it was attached ( we don't plan on doing it agian) . We are flabergasted and need help !!

Is it possible that there is some rellay out or what ?

On my wifes 05 2wd 4door silverado w/ tow package ,I found an electrical distribution board mounted on the rear crossmember on the drivers side above/beside the spare tire behind the rear bumper. I unplugged the four wiring harness connectors and SLIGHTLY bent the male tabs on the distribution board and this fixed the problem. The entire unit can be removed from the frame with 1 -10 mm bolt to ease in this modification.Make sure all lights are turned OFF before attempting this.

You will need to replace the turn signal switch, this is a common problem on these trucks, have fixed it on a family members chevy silverado.

1998 ford 150 brake light, turn signal, flasher not working

It could be the flasher itself, but did you check to see if you have a bad light bulb in the turn signal/ brake light? or even a bad connection at the light bulb.
Best regards

Sounds like a crossed wiring connection somewhere, if the four-way flashers are turning on the high-beam indicator. Check all the connectors in the associated wiring harnesses for the instrument panel. Good luck!

Brake lights and turn signals quit working

The first thing to do is check the fuses, the fuse may have blown, maybe to a short or bad bulb, start with the fuses and also make sure the 4way hazard lights switch is off.

Have a 96 Olds Cutlass Supreme, brake lights will not work. We've replaced bulbs, fuses and brake light switch and still nothing. Help!

Try having someone push on brake pedal at the same time thay move the turn signal lever up and down slightly to see if your brake lights work this would tell me that you have a faulty turn signal switch because GM runs the brake lights thru the turn signal switch so they work if you are driving with your 4way flashers on.
