Just after getting an oil change yesterday my van started to ride VERY rough. It had problems with acceleration. This morning the service engine soon light came on. I took it back to the place who did the oil change and they ran a diagnostic and the code came back 1133. Can you tell me what needs to be done next?

It sounds like your oxygen sensor is bad. Try unplugging it and see if the engine runs better. If it does then replace the sensor. This would be the oxygen sensor after the engine before the cat.

First check transmission dip stick for correct fluid level. Next schedule a transmission filter change. This should have been done at 60,000miles

Van starts hard, then runs fine, fan is loud, service engine liht on

This is all tied to the service engine soon light.

When the Check Engine light (or Service Engine Soon or small picture of an engine) is turned on, the systems computer control unit (called the PCM) has sensed a fault in the electronic controls of the engine and/or the emission system. When this happens you will seldom feel the car engine run any different. There are about 200 possible system faults (the gas cap is just one of them) that turn the Check Engine light on, to know what has developed a problem you must have the system tested, this is called an OBD2 fault code test, Kragen/Oriley and Autozone parts stores (USA only) do this testing for free.

I have a 1999 Grand Am. This morning the ''Service Engine Soon'' light came on, along with the ''Trac Off'' light. On the way home from work tonight, it would **** when I shifted and when the car shifted...

Your description sounds like maybe a tranny problem. Make sure the tranny fuid is fresh. Otherwise you need to have the "check engine" notice checked. Some oil change places will check it for free. Or you can buy a OBD II scanner/reader and get the detail of your problem.

I have flashing "service engine soon" light, scanned it and said cylinder 6 is misfiring. changed plugs and wires and still the same. rides rough at acceleration

Not sure what year you have?? Could have a bad coil or wires to coil. Check at night in dark place for coil arcing to ground, look for flash when revving engine.

My oil light with a little wrench beside it came on this morning, I have a 2007 chevy trailblazer and I just had a oil change 1 month ago

If the service light is on in your TrailBlazer, open the door, turn the key to ignition position and push the accelerator pedal 5 times, the service light will flash. flash your high beams and you're done.

1999 chevy astro van 4.3 will not start in morning, after cranking for several minutes it will finally turn over and run fine the rest of the day could it be a bad fuel pump or oil pump

I have the same problem, I replaced the fuel pump. Did NOT solve it. i was told that it is a computer problem. The computer is not sending electric to the fuel pump, by cranking it several times the oil pressure builds up and will over ride the computer and send power to the fuel pump. This is a common problem on these asrto vans.
